1007 Entrepreneurship Development Training in Indira Nagar Slum

Mumbai, 8-Feb-2020: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized a two-day training workshop on ‘Fancy Jewellery Making Business’ on 8th and 10th February 2020 for the women from Nanabhai wadi slum in Wadala. 40 women completed the entire training held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

Ms. Anita Kattimani (Staff - DBDS) welcomed the resource person. The objective of this training was to impart skills and knowledge on fancy jewellery making as micro business for supplementary income of the families connected to this project. Ms. Humaira Sayyed was the resource person. During the training ten different kinds of Jewellery were taught to participants. This included Tassels Jewelry, Bits earing, Zip Jewelry, etc.

In the next session Ms. Surekha Pednekar (Project Officer- DBDS) gave training on marketing, costing, budgeting, pricing and branding of product. Ear rings and Necklace raw material was also distributed to participants to help them in starting their business.
