1008 MGL DISHA PROJECT: Income Generation Training for Slum Women

Mumbai,7-Feb-2020: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized a two-day training workshop on ‘Fancy Candle and Agarbatti Making’ for 45 women from Koyala Galli slum in Antop hill. This training programme was held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

The objective of this training was to impart skill and knowledge on fancy candle and incense stick making as micro business for supplementary income to the families connected to this project. Ms. Akila Ansari (Staff - DBDS) welcomed the resource person and explained the objective of the training. Mrs. Vidhya Kistule was the resource person.

In the next session Mr. Pradeep Moon trained women on marketing, costing, budgeting, pricing and branding of product. The participants dedicatedly learnt the skills and were determined to start-up a small business. Raw material was also distributed to participants to help them in starting their business.
