1019 Disaster Preparedness for Slum Kids in Vadodara

Vadodara (Gujarat), 7-Feb-2020: The Don Bosco Development Society in joint collaboration with Don Bosco Snehalaya organized a 3-days awareness event to educate slum children on ‘Disaster Preparedness’. 98 children participated in this event held under the aegis of ‘Mix for Kids’ e.v, Germany. 

Dr. Sachin Bhagat (Deputy Chief), Mr. Shailesh Jaiswal (In-charge Chief Warden) and Mrs. Indu Agrawal (Divisional Warden) were the resource persons. They covered topics related to health and hygiene, nutrition, health care, application of first aid kit, road safety and traffic rules, rescue operations, safety devices etc. They demonstrated the use of safety and rescue devices. On the last day they conducted a MCQ exam and gave participation certificate from the collector’s office.
