1085 Covid-19 Relief Operations: DBDS and SBI Life Insurance Reaches Out to 2,500 Poor and Needy in Mumbai

Mumbai, May-2020:
The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in joint collaboration with SBI Life Insurance (SBI) is reaching out to 2,500 slum-dwellers and daily wage-earners in the slums of Mumbai. Through these relief operations one-month ration of food items and toiletries will be provided. On the first day 252 relief kits were distributed in the slums of Antop Hill.

Fr. Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) along with DBDS staff and volunteers did all the arrangements for this covid-19 relief operations. Representatives from SBI were helpful in distribution of the relief kits. While doing this relief operations: social distancing and all the other government compliances were strictly adhered to. Fr. D’Mello speaking on the occasion said, “We are thankful that we could help. I also place on record my sincere thanks to SBI Life Insurance for financially supporting this project.”
