Koregaon Park (Pune), June-2020: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in joint collaboration with AXA Business Services is reaching out to 3,000 poor and needy in the slums of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. Relief kits containing ration, toiletries and hygiene kits were distributed to the slum dwellers mostly to widows and physically challenged people – since some of the physically challenged could not make it to the Don Bosco campus so their family members collected the kits on their behalf.

Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) speaking on the occasion thanked AXA Business Services for sponsoring this project. Mr. Nagsen Chauhan along with the DBDS staff successfully handled these relief operations under the direction of Frs Ivan and Richard. During these relief operations social distancing and all the other government compliances were strictly adhered to. Through these relief operations DBDS and AXA is reaching out to the most vulnerable categories like commercial sex workers, physically challenged, transgender, widows, etc.
