1141 Covid-19 Relief Operations in Narukot

Narukot (Gujarat), August-2020: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in association with its implementing partner Don Bosco Narukot is helping more than 2000 poor and needy villagers. Relief kits containing ration for a month, toiletries and hygiene kits are being distributed - financially supported by Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (Germany) and Don Bosco Mondo (Bonn-Germany). Through this project, DBDS along with its five implementing partners is reaching out to more than 11,000 poor and needy in the villages of Gujarat.

Brother Melvyn Carvalho along with other Salesians and staff are currently executing this task, travelling from village to village doing the Covid-19 relief work. Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) speaking on the occasion thanked Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (Germany) and Don Bosco Mondo (Bonn-Germany) for their continued support.

Since April 2020 DBDS has DIRECTLY touched the lives of 1,72,955 poor and needy – providing for their basic needs during this challenging time of Covid-19 pandemic.
