1182 Launch of a New Project for the Tribal Youth in Jawhar

Jawhar (Maharashtra), November 2020: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in joint collaboration Bosco Samajik Vikas Sanstha (BSVS) launched a new project for the development of tribal youth residing in the forests and hills of different villages in the Jawhar block of Palghar district. This project if financially supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

The project will primarily focus on training youth in agricultural and non-agricultural livelihoods, career guidance & job placements, business entrepreneurship skills, personality development, etc and will benefit more than 2000 tribal youth in the coming two years. Along with inauguration function; a number of planning meetings were held with the management and staff of BSVS. This process was successfully coordinated by DBDS. Present on the occasion were: Fr Ashley Miranda (Vice-Provincial), Fr Manuel Murzello (Provincial Economer), Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS), Fr Anaclete D’Mello (Director - BSVS) and other Salesian Priests and lay-collaborators.
