1221 MGL Disha Project: Income Generation Training for Women

Mumbai, January 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized two income generation and entrepreneurship training on ‘Flavoured Tea and Soft Drinks’ for girls and women residing in various slums of Mumbai. These trainings were held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

Mrs Manju Bhagwat and Mrs Ujjwala Dorugade were the resource persons. In their session they taught making different kind of flavoured tea and juices such as Basubdi Tea, Kehwa, Irani Tea, Tandoori Tea, Chocolate Tea, Ayurvedic Tea, Detox Juice, Diabetic Juice etc. They also took sessions on production, marketing, costing, budgeting, pricing and brand building of products. Many participants who completed the training were very positive on starting their business. Mrs Mansi Chamre, who attended the training has started earning by selling ‘Chai Masala’ in her community.
