Mumbai, February 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai completed four batches of advance training in ‘Beauty Care’ and ‘Tailoring’ for girls and women residing in various slums of Mumbai. In all 100 students were trained under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.
The details are as follows:
The advance Beauty Care Skills included imparting skills in design, draft, pattern making cutting, stitching and finishing of the garments, (frock, gents pyjama, petticoat, churidar pyjama, ladies kurta, salwar etc.), surface decoration of garments using embroidery, laces, buttons, beads, sequins, fold, iron, pack and cost evaluation of stitched garment etc.
