1250 FINANCIAL LITERACY TRAINING FOR SHG WOMEN

Pune, March 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) conducted a ‘Financial Literacy’ session for 21 people in Renuka Nagar slum under the aegis of the health project financially supported by AXA Business Services.


Mr Nagsen Chavan (Coordinator - DBDS) was the resource person for the training session and he covered following topics:
  • Illegal financial schemes, scams, online frauds
  • Financial scams like Speak Asia Online, Royal Twinkle Star Club Ltd, Pearl, Pancard, Stock guru India etc
  • Post Office Schemes such as PPF, Atal Pension Yojana, Jiwan Jyoti Yojana, Kisan Vikas Patra etc
  • Insurance schemes – Important of Term Insurance and Health Insurance.
Participants were actively involved and some of them also shared how they were cheated by illegal financial schemes and lost their savings. Program ended with vote of thanks by Ms Nilima Chandhere (Staff - DBDS).
