Pune, 31st August 2017: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Pune organized ‘Certification Ceremony’ for 20 Self-Help Group (SHG) women who completed specialized training in ‘Phenol, Detergent and Shampoo Production Business’. The women belonged to SHGs of Navdeep and Akashdeep. This program was organized under the aegis of Women Empowerment Project funded by Manos Unidas (Spain). Participants shared their experience of product making and selling. 12 SHG women have started business on group basis and others have started on individual basis. Mr. Nagsen Chavan (DBDS- Training Officer) took session on business management. He discussed about product quality, product brand, Standards, cost calculation, market survey, business Record maintain, customer care etc. The participants were very enthusiastic about their newly income generation venture. Ms. Ranjana Pandit (DBDS - Project Co-ordinator) thanked everyone and give some information about how to purchase raw material. Ms. Rita Jadhav (DBDS Staff) made logistic arrangement for this event. The event ended with snacks served to all.
