1271 MGL Disha Project: Health Awareness Sessions

Mumbai, April 2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), organized six online health awareness sessions for women residing in various slums of Mumbai. 119 women benefited through these sessions held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

The objective of these sessions was to educate women on various types of cancer and cancer prevention and treatment. Resource persons form Tata Memorial Hospital took these sessions through video conferencing. The sessions covered topics such as Common Types of Cancer, Early Detection, effect of Tobacco and Alcohol, Dietary Factors etc. Resource Person also answered all the questions and doubts asked by the participants.
