1293 Covid-19 Relief Operations for Migrants in Ahmednagar

Ahmednagar (Maharashtra), June-2021:
The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in association with Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) helped more than 250 migrants in Ahmednagar city through distribution of ration and medical kits. This relief work is part of a bigger project that is catering to 5000 poor and needy in central Maharashtra; financially supported by Misiones Salesianas (Madrid, Spain).

Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) thanked ‘Misiones Salesianas’ for their generous support as he was part of this relief work done for the Migrants. Fr George D’Abreo (Director - BGVK) mentioned that the beneficiaries of this relief project are the migrant workers, commercial sex workers, transgenders, tribals and Covid affected families. He further added that this project will benefit more than 100 villages of Ahmednagar and Beed districts of Maharashtra.
