Kapadvanj (Gujarat), July-2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in association with Don Bosco Kapadvanj helped 400 Covid-affected families in the Kheda district through distribution of ration and medical kits. This relief work is part of a bigger project that is presently catering to more than 13,000 poor and needy in Gujarat; financially supported by Manos Unidas (Spain).

Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) thanked ‘Manos Unidas’ for their generous support. He also mentioned that this project is benefiting the tribals living in the forests areas of Gujarat as well as to the landless farmers in different remote villages. Apart from ration distribution and awareness campaigns this project will also cater to the safety of the frontline workers in the area.

Fr Mayank Parmar (Director – Don Bosco Kapadvanj) along with other Salesians and lay-staff are currently executing this task of ration distribution and awareness campaigns in the blocks of Kapadvanj and Thasara in the Kheda district of Gujarat. Social distancing and other government compliances were strictly adhered to during this entire process.
