Pune, 09-September-2017:
The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Pune organized ‘Appreciation of Remedial Class Teachers’ program at Laxminagar slum in Pune from 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm. The main objective of this program was to thank the teachers who take daily remedial classes for the kids in the slums. This program was organized under the aegis of Women Empowerment Project funded by Manos Unidas (Spain).

The teachers who take the remedial class shared their experience of teaching and the progress that the students are making. Some of the students put-up various entertainment and educational events like speech, songs, stories etc. What was impressive to witness was a Marathi medium student Akhtar; who fluently delivered an appreciation speech in English. As a token of appreciation small gifts were given to the teachers.
