Dakor (Gujarat), July-2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in association with Don Bosco Dakor helped 400 Covid-affected families in the different villages of Dakor through distribution of ration and medical kits. This relief work is part of a bigger project that is presently catering to more than 13,000 poor and needy in Gujarat; financially supported by Manos Unidas (Spain).

Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) thanked ‘Manos Unidas’ for their generous support. He also mentioned that this project is benefiting the tribals living in the forests areas of Gujarat as well as the landless farmers in different remote villages. Apart from ration distribution and awareness campaigns this project is also catering to the safety of the frontline workers in the area.

Fr Pravin Makwana (Rector – Don Bosco Dakor) along with lay-staff and volunteers is currently executing this relief project. Social distancing and other government compliances are being strictly adhered to during this entire process.
