Jambughoda (Gujarat), July-2021: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) in association with Don Bosco Narukot helped 400 Covid-affected families in the different villages of Jhambughoda block through distribution of ration and medical kits. They also helped 100 frontline workers with safety kits. This relief work is part of a bigger project that is presently catering to more than 13,000 poor and needy in Gujarat; financially supported by Manos Unidas (Spain).

Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) thanked ‘Manos Unidas’ for their generous support. He also mentioned that this project is benefiting the tribals living in the forests areas of Gujarat as well as the landless farmers in different remote villages. Apart from ration distribution and awareness campaigns this project is also catering to the safety of the frontline workers in the area.

Fr Stanny Ferreira (Rector – Don Bosco Narukot) along with two lay-staff and eight volunteers successfully implemented this task.
