147 Five Days Training for Slum Women

The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Pune organized a 5 days training workshop on ‘Instant Mix Recipes’ for the Self-help Group (SHG) women from Wadgaonsheri slum in Pune. 18 SHG women successfully completed the entire training which was conducted from 6th to 10th October 2017 held under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

The objective of the training was to learn and understand the process of making Instant Mix products and sale to customers. All the participants were from Sadguru and Gayatri SHGs. 11 different types of Instant Mix were practically taught to participants. This included Dhokala Mix, Gulabjamun Mix, Khir Mix, Edali Mix, Laddu Mix, Basundi Mix, Cake Mix, Mug Bhaji Mix, Upma Mix, Meduwada Mix, Soup Mix. The workshop was held in association with Kasturba Mahila Khadi Gramodyoug Vidyalaya, Pune.

Mrs Rajani Attarde and Uma Dhotre were the resource person for this workshop. Mr. Tirandaj took a session on business development, products costing, budget and Marketing. DBDS regularly hold such workshops for the women residing in the slums of Pune.
