Pune, 25-October-2017: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Pune organized a workshop on ‘Financial Goals Planning’ for women Self-Help Group members from Tadiwala Road slum in Pune; in which 29 women participated. Mr. Mahesh Kumar was the resource person. Many women shared their experiences of low income and difficulty in sustained investment.

The main objective of the workshop was to help women understand topics like Ponzi Schemes, Time value of Money, interest rates, Compounding, Discounting, Investing in Small saving schemes to meet Financial Goals, Life insurance etc. Mr Nagsen Chouhan (DBDS - Staff) welcomed the women and initiated the workshop proceedings. The resource person stressed on building a culture of saving and goal based investment to achieve their financial goals.
