Mumbai, 8-Dec-2017: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized the Graduation Day Ceremony of the Vocational Skill Classes in which 392 students obtained their certificates. Fr. Savio Silveira (Vice Provincial of Don Bosco Province) was the chief guest for the function and he presented the certificates to the successful students.

The program began with a short prayer service at the Bianchi Hall in the Don Bosco International School Building. Ms. Surekha Pednekar (Coordinator – DBDS) welcomed the gathering. She shared some information on various vocational courses like Spoken English, Basic Computer, Tally, Beauty Culture (hair and skin), Mehandi and Tailoring which were conducted during June 2017 to November 2017.

In his address, Fr Savio Silveira expressed his joy in seeing so many students being empowered through these skills, he also congratulated DBDS team for doing good work. The program ended with a short entertainment and cultural show put up by the students. It also included a display of the various things learned by them in their training period.

“I am grateful to Don Bosco for teaching me Computers and especially the accounting package of Tally – absolutely free of cost. This will definitely help me in building my bright future,” said Komal Manjule (a student from the Computer course). The students went back relished with the sumptuous snacks served at the end.
