189 TOWARDS SUSTAINABLE LIVELIHOOD

Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) in collaboration with Crompton Greaves started a Fashion Designing course at Murmi Village in Gangapur Taluka in Aurangabad District. Mrs. Pranita Nikam (Project Manager CG), Mr. Vinod Cholke (Project Coordinator CG), Babasaheb Kharat (Coordinator BGVK) and Lata Narawade (Field staff BGVK) were present for the inauguration.

The duration of the course is two months. The focus of this intervention is to provide the sustainable livelihood to these village women. Mrs. Pranita Nikam (Project Manager CG) in her speech encouraged the girls to go beyond their village and get into commercial business with learning New fashions.

Mr. Vinod Cholke (Project Coordinator CG) asked women to be regular and to make best of the opportunity they have got of skilling in fashion designing. Mr. Babasaheb Kharat (BGVK coordinator) exhorted women to learn the skill well in view of starting their own business. Altogether 20 women and girls have registered for this training programme.
