193 FREE HEALTH CAMP IN LAXMINAGAR SLUM IN PUNE

Pune, 19-Dec-2017: The Don Bosco Development Society, Pune organized a free health camp for residents of Laxminagar slum in Pune. 304 patients benefited from this free Health Camp organized under the aegis of the ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.


The health camp was held in association with Aundh Surgical District Hospital, Pune. The medical team consisted of Dentist, Paediatrician, Gynaecologist and a General Physician. The team of doctors examined the patients and distributed free medicines to needy patients. Most of the patients had no major illnesses but there were cases of anaemia, cough, cold, migraine, GRDS, worms in children, vitamin deficiency, joint’s pain, low HB etc. 13 patients with serious illness were referred to Aundh Hospital for further treatment
