Mumbai, 29-Dec-2017:
The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) conducted a Free Health Camp for the residents of Bangalipura slum which benefited more than 280 families residing in this slum. The health camp was held in association with the Seven Hills Hospital and it was organized under the aegis of ‘Flood Relief Project’ supported by Don Bosco Mondo, Germany.

Ms. Basanti Solanki (Staff - DBDS) welcomed all the General Physicians, Para-medical staff and Chairperson of Maharashtra Welfare Society. The health camp was held in the premises of Maharashtra Welfare Society; which saw ladies visiting in huge numbers as the slum lack proper public health care services. Dr. Shushant, Dr. Vinod Patil, Dr. Neha Qureshi Dr. Pinky Patil and their team examined the people during this health camp. The Health Camp provided specialised screening and consultation with experts on Dental check-up, Naturopathy, Eye check-up, Cancer, Kidney, Heart (Cardiac) related problems.

People with defective eye-sight were given spectacles at a highly subsidized price of Rs.200 only and 66 people got Spectacles. The people benefited expressed their gratitude to Don Bosco Mondo and Seven Hills Hospital for offering such a wide range of check-ups free of cost. Ms. Surekha Pednekar (Programme Coordinator - DBDS) proposed vote of thanks and specially thanked Maharashtra Welfare Society for the excellent arrangements provided at the venue.
