4-Feb-2018, Vadodara: Don Bosco Roshni celebrated its 14th Annual Day on the theme of ‘SAVE TREES, SAVE LIFE.’ More than 500 children participated in this event. The programme was held under the aegis of ‘Children Education Project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

The programme started at 5:45 pm when children from slums assembled in Don Bosco School, Baroda. Mrs. Michelle Ganeshani (Principal - Podar International School) was the Guest of Honour. The other guests were Fr. Anthony Pinto (Rector & Principal, Don Bosco School – Baroda) and number of other dignitaries and well-wishers.

Ms Jagruti Patil (Coordinator - Roshni) welcomed the participants and introduced the guests. In her address, Mrs Ganeshani spoke on leverage that Don Bosco can give to children. Gifts were given to 25 children, who attended ‘support classes’ without missing a single day. There were many cultural events like plays, dance, song etc.

Vasana Slum Children danced to the tune of Hindi Film Songs. At the end, Fr. Dominic Martis (Incharge – Roshni) gave the vote of thanks. “It was such a thrilling experience for me to attend this annual day – I really enjoyed myself,” said Master Karan Baria (student of 7th Std.). The programme ended with sumptuous dinner for everyone. The children went back with sweet memories.
