17-Feb-2018, Chinchwad (Pune): The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Chinchwad organized a free health checkup camp for the school children of Mata Ramabai Bhimrao Ambedkar School, Ajantha Nagar in Chinchwad. 118 students were examined by the doctors in this camp held under the aegis of ‘Health Risk Reduction’ project supported by AXA Business Services.

The camp was held in collaboration with Doctors and their team from Sasoon Government Hospital in Pune. Dr. Priyanka Raichan (MBBS) along with two Nurses, two medical Social workers, two counselor examined the patients during this health camp. The purpose of health camp was to screen patients and spread awareness about Tuberculosis. Patients were screened for TB using a symptoms questionnaire.

27 students were identified in this camp who will be treated free of cost in their hospital. Medicines for the students with illness were distributed free. DBDS staff did all the logistical arrangements for the entire health camp.
