344 SHG MANAGEMENT TRAINING IN DHARAVI SLUM

17-July -2018, Mumbai: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai conducted a session for Self-help Group (SHG) women from Dharavi slum on ‘SHG Development and Management’. Ms. Surekha Pednekar (Project Officer – DBDS) was the resource person for this workshop - attended by 26 women.

Miss Surekha covered the following topics in her session:

1. Social Analysis focusing on self-Empowerment through collective action)
2. Aims and Objectives of the Self Help Group.
3. SHG management

The session on "Small Savings with the help of SHG" gave the participants detailed knowledge of various types of savings and also gave valuable inputs to manage and strengthen the SHG through individual efforts. The workshop ended on a very positive note as the participants appeared to be highly motivated on the issue of group savings, forming and strengthening SHG. Mrs. Kavita Kamble (Staff – DBDS) proposed vote of thanks at the end.
