Vadodara (Gujarat), 26-March-2018: Don Bosco Roshni organized a painting activity for more than 400 children from the slums of Vadodara (Gujarat). The programme was held under the aegis of ‘Children Education Project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

Based on their interest, children were divided into different groups like:
O-Group - Hand, Foot and Thumb Painting & Potato Painting
A-Group - Lady Fingers Painting
B-Group - Onion Painting
C-Group - String Painting

This painting activity was held for 3 days in 13 different slum areas of the city; where the children come every day for the remedial classes. “We not only give attention to the academic side of these children’s growth but we also focus on the holistic development of these slum children and that is why extra-curricular activities of this sort are very important for us,” said Miss Jagruti Patil (Project Coordinator – Roshni).

All the children really enjoyed the event and expressed their imagination in the form of shapes and colour. “We shared our ideas and had lots of fun – we also loved the delicious snacks served at the end,” said Master Ajay Parmar (Std. 6th – Project beneficiary).
