21-June-2018, Mumbai: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai celebrated ‘Father’s Day’ with children who attend the remedial classes in the Ashok Nagar slum. Around 160 children and their father participated in this event held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL).

Mr. Nishant Sinha (CSR Manager - MGL) and Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) inaugurated the programme. They also interacted with the children of the support classes being held every day in the slums of Ghatkopar and Kurla as part of MGL Disha Project. Miss Farida Khan (Teacher - DBDS) welcomed the chief guest and all other participants for this programme and shared complements of the day.

In this programme the children paid gratitude to their respective father by expressing their feelings through drama, song and dance. Teacher & volunteers from the slums were extremely helpful as they helped in arranging facilities and managing the crowd. Mrs. Zarina Khan (Staff - DBDS) gave the vote of thanks at the end. The children and their Father’s went back home after having delicious snacks and refreshments.
