329 ROAD SAFETY EDUCATION FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN

20-June-2018, Chinchwad (Pune): The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Chinchwad organized an interactive session on ‘Road Safety and Traffic Rules’ for the children in the Gangaram Bahirwade School near Chinchwad Sation. 74 Students participated in this session which was held under the aegis of ‘Health Risk Reduction’ project supported by AXA Business Services Ltd.

Mr. Sanjay Jadhav (Police Sub Inspector, Traffic Police Department) was the resource person for this session. In his talk he educated children on the road safety rules and gave useful information on the emergency situation such as road accidents. He also covered various DO’s and DON’Ts related to road safety.

He informed that in case of accidents always call police by dialling numbers: 100 & 103. The accident victim should be taken to the nearest best hospital for providing emergency medical care. Then Ms. Lalita Chaudhari (Coordinator- DBDS) spoke about personal health and hygiene. After the session snacks were served to all the children. Mrs. Rajshree Deshkahire (staff- DBDS) proposed the vote of thanks at the end of program.
