371 ‘RAKSHA BANDHAN’ CELEBRATION FOR 483 SLUM KIDS

Vadodara (Gujarat), 24-Aug-2018: Roshni Don Bosco celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with children in the slum of Vadodara. This program was held under the aegis of ‘Children Education Project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

It was a 4-day long celebration from 21st August to 24th August 2018. About 483 children from different slum areas participated in this event. First two days were dedicated to Rakhi making. Children were trained in making beautiful Rakhis. Children showed great enthusiasm in making Rakhis. On 23rd and 24th August, the girls tied Rakhis to boys and the boys pledged to take care and protect their sisters.
