404 MGL DISHA PROJECT: Free Health Camp in Asalfa Sakinaka

6-October-2018, Mumbai:
The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), organized a free health check-up and Eye check-up camp for the women and children residing in Asalfa ,Sakinaka slum in Andheri east. 203 patients (26 children, 99 men and 78 women) were examined by the doctor in this camp which was held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Ltd.

Mrs. Zarina Khan (Staff- DBDS) welcomed the doctors and Para-medical staff. Dr Abhishek Jandade, Mr. Pramod and his team examined the patients. Patients were diagnosed with Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, menstrual irregularities, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Skin infections and vision problem etc. Ms. Surekha Pednekar (Project Officer - DBDS) monitored the administration of this health camp.

The DBDS staff and volunteers from the slum were extremely helpful in logistical arrangement such as putting up pandal, chairs and tables, arranging water, visiting families in slums and informing them about the health camp and in managing the crowd. Local people were very happy with this health camp and praised the efforts of Mahanagar Gas Limited. Naaz Raeen (DBDS -Volunteer) proposed the vote of thanks at the end.
