15-October-2018, Chinchwad (Pune): The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) Chinchwad organized a health exhibition at Mahatma Phule Nagar slum for the visitors to ‘Jai Bhavani Temple’ during Navratri Utsav. This health exhibition was held under the aegis of ‘Health Risk Reduction Project’ supported by AXA Business Services.

The focus of this activity was to communicate health risks associated with tobacco consumption and its effect on personal and family life. The project team found that thousands of people visit the Jai Bhavani Temple during Navratri and hence decided to hold this exhibition. The program started at 8.00 am in the morning. The team assembled at Mahatma Phule Nagar. Around 100 visitors stopped to see and collect information on posters. The social workers explained the information on the posters to the visitors and also gave information on resources to tobacco cessation.
