419 ADULT LITERARCY PROJECT IN CENTRAL MAHARASHTRA

Ahmednagar (Maharashtra), 30-Oct-18: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) through its implementing partner Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK), Ahmednagar is dedicatedly implementing the ‘Adult Literacy Project’ in their respective project villages. The project is supported by Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS).

Fr Rolvin D’Mello (Executive Director – DBDS) on his visit to the project interacted with the staff and the beneficiaries (students) of this project. Over a period of next three years the project will benefit more than 12,000 illiterate people. The project began in July 2018 with identification of villages with illiterate population and outreaching to them to motivate them to join literacy classes.

Fr George D’Abreo (Director – BGVK) who monitors the project directly in the districts of Beed and Ahmednagar accompanied Fr Rolvin on this important monitoring visit.
