422 LANTERN MAKING WORKSHOP FOR SLUM CHILDREN

3-November-2018, Koregaon Park (Pune): The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) Koregaon Park organized a workshop on paper lantern making for slum children. 23 children participated in this workshop was organized under the ‘Women Empowerment Project’ funded by Manos Unidas (Spain).

Ms. Nilima Chandhere (DBDS-Staff) taught how to make paper lantern and how to use them in their home. Paper and other material was given to children to practice. Children were taught to use ribbon, crepe paper in making paper lantern as per their decoration needs. Paper lantern can be hanged with lights in this festive season of Diwali or on other occasions. Children made beautiful paper lanterns and took it to their home.
