9-February-2019, Koregaon Park (Pune): The Don Bosco Development Society, Pune organized a ‘Health Awareness’ training program for adolescent girls in Samta School in Nagpur Chawl slum (Pune). 67 girls participated in this training program organized under the aegis of ‘women empowerment project’ funded by Manos Unidas, Spain.

Ms. Swapna Waghmare (Police Sub-Inspector, Shastri Nagar) was the chief guest. She educated the girls on POSCO Law, Child abuse and security of Girls. Ms. Nilima Chandhare (Staff-DBDS) guided the girls on their health issues. In her presentation she covered following topics:

· Physical body changes and their stress.
· Psychological and emotional changes.
· Female Reproductive System
· How to keep balance of Psychological changes
· Body cleanliness
· Female reproductive system
· Importance of Family support
· Gender equality
· Different aspect of growing stages.

After the session Dettol soap was distributed to all the girls. Program ended with vote of thanks by Ms. Jyoti Sonwane (Staff- DBDS).
