15-Feb-2019, Chinchwad (Pune): The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Chinchwad organized an interactive session on ‘Road Safety and Traffic Rules’ for the students of Swami Vivekanand School at Sahyog Nagar slum in Chinchwad. Around 200 students participated in this session held under the aegis of ‘Health Risk Reduction’ project supported by AXA Business Services Ltd.

Mr. Dilip A. Bhosale (Police Inspector, Traffic Department) was the resource persons for this session. He covered following topics on road safety such as:
· Obey Traffic rules
· Pass or overtake the vehicle in front of you from its right side
· Be extra cautious while approaching a junction
· Always give a right of way to vehicles already progressing
· Don’t horn in prohibited areas like hospital zones, school zones, etc.
· Use helmet while driving
· Use zebra lines, avoid running while on road etc

He also educated children on various DO’s and DON’Ts related to road safety, keeping documents such as Driving license, Registration certificate, Taxation certificate, Insurance certificate, Fitness certificate while driving and helping victims of road accidents. In case of accidents always call police by dialing numbers: 100 & 108. Mrs. Vibhawari Kamble (Staff-DBDS) did the logistical arrangement for this session.
