531 MGL DISHA PROJECT: Free Health Camp in Antop Hill

16-March-2019, Mumbai: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), organized a free health and eye check-up camp for the women and children residing in Sangam Nagar slum in Antop Hill. 113 patients (22 children, 42 men and 49 women) were examined by the doctor in this camp which was held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Ltd.

Dr Abhishek Jandade, Mr. Pramod Bhadavalkar and their team from Seven Hill hospital examined the patients. Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from Sugar, Blood Pressure, Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, menstrual irregularities, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Skin infections, vision problem and anaemia using a symptoms questionnaire etc.

The doctors distributed iron, vitamin tablets and skin ointment to patients who were anaemic and suffering from fungal infections and Scabies. The DBDS staff and volunteers from the slum were extremely helpful in logistical arrangement such as putting up chairs and tables, arranging water, visiting families in slums and informing them about the health camp and in managing the crowd. Local people were very happy with this health camp and praised the efforts of Mahanagar Gas Limited. Akila Ansari (Staff-DBDS) proposed the vote of thanks at the end.
