543 MGL DISHA PROJECT: Financial Workshop on Goals and Investments

22-March-2019, Mumbai: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Mumbai organized a free training session on ‘Investment Planning’ for women from low income group residing in Bhimwadi slum in Antop hill area. 30 women participated in this workshop which was organized under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by MAHANAGAR GAS LIMITED.

Ms. Surekha Pednekar (Project Officer - DBDS) welcomed the participants and resource person. Mr. Dinesh Dedhia (Public Relation Inspector) from Mahim post office was the resource person for the training. The workshop focused on following:

· Saving account
· Interest rates
· Term deposits
· Recurring deposits
· Monthly income schemes
· National saving certificate
· Kisan Vikas Parta
· Sukanya Samrudhi Yojana

He further urged the participants to save money and invest smartly so that they could have good returns from the investments. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms Akila Ansari (DBDS- Staff)
