661 AXA Corporate Responsibility Week: Football for Under-Privileged

Pune, 5-July-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized a football match for the underprivileged kids studying in Don Bosco High School in Yerwada. Four teams of 6 children each participated in this event held under the aegis of ‘Health Risk Reduction’ project’ supported by AXA Business Services. 

The event was held in Don Bosco High School Yerwada. Mr Pankaj from AXA coordinated this event. Mr Nagsen (coordinator – DBDS) welcomed the AXA business services delegates and volunteers and also Fr Michael Bansode (Rector-Don Bosco) and Fr Bosco D’Mello (Principal- Don Bosco High School).

Mr Jayant Nimbalkar was the referee and Mr Sahil Sanas and Mr Pratik Shinde were the linesmen for the matches. There we 3 matches in all. First match was played between ‘Crystal Spiders’ and ‘Lethal Piranhas’. Crystal Spiders won the match and entered Finals. Second match was between ‘Roaring Lions’ and ‘Brutal Dragons’. Roaring Lions won. Final Match was played between ‘Crystal Spiders’ and ‘Roaring Lions’. ‘Roaring Lions’ beat Crystal Spiders to lift the trophy. Mr Shrikrishna Madhavan from AXA Business Services presented the trophy to the ‘Roaring Lions’ team. Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Shruti from AXA. The kids went back refreshed by the sumptuous snacks and enthused for the love of football.
