Vadodara (Gujarat), 27-April-2019: Roshini Don Bosco organized a training workshop on ‘Marketing of Indian Spices’ as a business activity for slum women. 52 women from the various slums of Vadodara city participated in this training workshop. This training was held under the aegis of ‘Spice making and marketing project’ supported by MIX FOR KIDS e.v., Germany.

The objective of the training was to impart marketing and entrepreneurship skills to women who were interested in spice business. The training started with a brief prayer by Fr. George Miranda (Project Director). Mrs. Jagruti Patil (Project - Coordinator) introduced and welcomed the resource persons and participants of the training. Ms. Jaimini and Ms. Radha were resource persons. The resource persons covered following topics in their training:

· Business Idea, Business Plan

· Market survey, analysis of market, competition and Start-up strategy.

· Innovation and excellence

· Marketing plans, sales strategy, promotion, advertisement

· Purchase, costing, storage, transportation

· Finance & accounting program of start-ups

· Legal environment and compliances etc

The participants asked many questions and clarified their doubts from the resource person during the question and answer session. In the end the resource person gave information on the government schemes of taking loan and subsidy for starting a business.
