Ahmednagar (Maharashtra), 30-Apr-19:
The Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) has initiated an integrated Residential Spoken English Course from 22nd April to 26th May 2019. This course is supported by Van Ameringen Foundation (USA). Altogether 65 kids of poor farmers are participating in this course. Fr. George D’Abreo (Director – BGVK) said that "the broad objective of this course is to make the youngsters familiar with speaking in English".

This course aims at teaching and encouraging the rural youth to learn and converse in English, to increase vocabulary of the students, to inculcate the leadership qualities in them, to impart the basic knowledge of computers and to make them better human beings.

Apart from the regular classes; there are also a host of various activities to help the students learn English. The lessons taught in the class are supplemented through creative, educative games and exercises thus giving them a platform to boost their confidence in speaking English. Master Abhijit Berad, one of the students appreciated the initiative of BGVK and said that "this course will be highly beneficial to all the students in the future".

Fr. George also expressed his special thanks to Mr. Clarence (USA) for being instrumental in getting financial assistance from Van Ameringen Foundation (USA).
