594 SOYBEAN PRODUCTS MAKING TRAINING FOR SLUM WOMEN

Koregaon Park (Pune): 30-April-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Pune organized a FIVE days training workshop from 26th to 30th April 2019 on ‘Soybean Products Making Business’ for the women Self-Help-Group (SHG) members of mother Teresa slum in Pune. This training was held under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

17 women from the slum successfully completed the entire training. The objective of this training was to impart skill and knowledge on Soybean products making as an income generation activity to supplement their family income. Mrs. Ashwini Kamble was the resource person for this training. Both theory and practical sessions were taken by the resource person.

Six different kinds of Soybean Products i.e Soya- Atta, Soya- milk, Soya-paneer, Soya-Chana, Soya-Laddu and Soya-curd were taught to them. They also underwent business management session on marketing, costing, budgeting, pricing, selling, purchasing by Mr Nagsen Chavan (Coordinator). Program ended with vote of thank by Mrs. Leena Gaikwad (Staff-DBDS).
