Koregaon Park (Pune), 15-June-2019:
The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Pune organized a health awareness session for the adolescent girls in Mother Teresa Nagar slum in Pune. 18 girls participated in the session held under the aegis of ‘women empowerment project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

Ms. Leena (Staff- DBDS) welcomed the participants and resource person. Ms. Nilima Chandare was the resource person for this session. The objective of the workshop was to educate adolescent girls on personal health, hygiene, sanitation, menstrual cycle, diet and nutrition. She covered following topics:

· Physical changes and stress

· Psychological and emotional changes

· Female reproductive system

· Gender equality

· Different aspect of growing stages.

After the question and answer session Dettol soap was distributed to participants. Snacks were served to all.
