657 AXA CR WEEK: Income Generation Training for Slum Women

Pune, 4-July-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized an income generation training for the Self-Help Group (SHG) women residing in the slums of Yerwada, Pune. The training workshop was held under the aegis of ‘Health Risk Reduction Project’ supported by AXA Business Services Limited.

The workshop began with a brief welcome of participants and resource person. Ms. Nilima Chandhere (Staff-DBDS) was the resource person for this training. The objective of this training was to impart skills and knowledge on micro business for supplementary income. During the training 3 different kinds of cleaning product were taught to the participants. Ms. Nilima taught phenyl making, hand wash making and toilet cleaner making to the participants.

31 SHG women participated this training Program. Three volunteers from AXA Business Services also participated in the workshop. After the session snacks were served everyone. At the end of workshop Mr. Vikarant Mulam (AXA volunteer) proposed the vote of thanks.
