Ahmednagar (Maharashtra), August-2019: The Bosco Gramin Vikas Kendra (BGVK) as part of the its Village Education Project currently being implemented in the 30 rural villages of Ahmednagar and Beed districts; organized a teachers training programme for all the teachers of the project. This project is funded by Kindermissionswerk (Aachen, Germany).

This training programme focused at understanding oneself and making an inward journey into oneself. The first day of the workshop was conducted by Mr. Juran Lopes (a well renowned street play Artist) and Mr. Maxwell Rose a well-known activist. The second day of the workshop dealt with planning, implementation and reporting of the project. All the sessions were very interactive and lively. The teachers were very appreciative of the training programme.

Fr George D’Abreo (Project Director – BGVK) reminded the teachers about a quote from William Arthur Ward: “The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires”. He also urged them to give their best for the brighter future of the village kids.
