Mumbai, 23-Aug-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS) organized a free health check-up and eye check-up camp for the women and children residing in Islampura slum in Wadala (East). 131 patients (31children, 34 men and 66 women) were examined by the doctors in this camp which was held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

Ms. Basanti Solanki (Staff - DBDS) welcomed the doctors and their para-medical staff. Dr Abhishek Jandade, Mr. Pramod Bhadavalkar and their team from Seven hill hospital examined the patients. Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from Diabetes, Blood Pressure, Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Skin infections, vision problem and Anaemia. The doctors distributed iron, vitamin tablets and skin ointment to patients who were anaemic and suffering from fungal infections, Scabies. Ms. Surekha Pednekar (Project Officer - DBDS) visited medical camp and personally supervised various activities of the health camp. 

No Cataract patients were identified in this camp. Local people were very happy with this health camp and praised the efforts of Mahanagar Gas Limited. Mrs. Hafiza Shaikh (volunteer) proposed the vote of thanks at the end.
