746 HEALTH AWARENESS SESSION FOR ADOLESCENT GIRLS

Koregaon Park (Pune), 9-Sept-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), Pune organized a health awareness session for adolescent students of Netaji High School in Yerwada. 31 girls participated in the session held under the aegis of ‘Women Empowerment Project’ supported by Manos Unidas, Spain.

Ms Nilima Chandhare (Staff-DBDS) was the resource person for this session. She spoke on the physical and mental changes, health, hygiene and social aspect of adolescent period. She also covered topics on vulnerability to risky situation like sexually transmitted diseases, sexual abuse, HIV/AIDS and drug and substance abuse. After the session Dettol soap was distributed to all the participants. Program ended with the vote of thanks by Ms. Jyoti Sonawane (Staff-DBDS).
