Vadodara (Gujarat), 24-Aug-2019: Roshni Don Bosco celebrated the festival of ‘Janamastami’ in slums of Vadodara. 428 slum kids participated in this festival held under the aegis of ‘Education Project’ supported by Manos Unidas (Spain).

As the tradition goes, the children suspended an earthen pot (called Dahi-Handi) containing yogurt and sweets at a height of about 15 feet and made teams to break the pot by forming human pyramid. Small children dressed-up as ‘Govindas’ made several attempts to reach the Handi and finally were helped by their parents to broke it. Children danced to the tunes of dahi-handi special songs. Snacks were distributed to all and children went back with memorable experience of festival celebrations.
