749 MGL DISHA PROJECT: Free Health Camp in Bandra (West)

Mumbai, 11-Sept-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), organized a free health and eye check-up camp for the women and children residing in Lalmati slum in Bandra (West). 114 patients (28 children, 19 men and 67 women) were examined by the doctor in this camp which was held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

Ms. Kavita Kamble (Staff-DBDS) welcomed the doctors and their Para-medical staff. Dr Abhishek Jandade, Mr. Pramod Bhadavalkar and their team from Seven Hill Hospital examined the patients. Patients were diagnosed to be suffering from Sugar, Blood Pressure, Joint pain, Fungal Infection, Common cold, menstrual irregularities, Calcium deficiency, Gastric Problem, Skin infections, vision problem and anaemia using a symptoms questionnaire. They distributed iron, vitamin tablets and skin ointment to patients. Local people were very happy with this health camp and praised the efforts of Mahanagar Gas Limited. Mr. Sayyad Akhtar (volunteer) proposed the vote of thanks at the end.
