779 MGL DISHA PROJECT: Free Health Camp in Wadala (East)

Mumbai, 21-Sept-2019: The Don Bosco Development Society (DBDS), organized a free health and eye check-up camp for the women and children residing in Noora Bazar slum in Antop hill. 152 patients (13 children, 21 men and 118 women) were examined by the doctor in this camp which was held under the aegis of ‘MGL Disha Project’ supported by Mahanagar Gas Limited.

Ms. Basanti Solanki (Staff-DBDS) welcomed the doctors and Para-medical staff. Medical team from Fortis Hospital and Yuva Prerana consisting of Dr. Abhishek Jandade, Mr. Pramod Bhadavalkar, Dr. Shaheena Shaikh and Mr. Sam Rushal along with 3 Nurses and 4 Medical Social workers examined the patients. Patients were screened for vision problem, anaemia using a symptoms questionnaire and Blood check-up (CBC & Sugar) was done.

After examination the doctors distributed iron, vitamin tablets and skin ointment to patients. 6 Cataract patients were identified and were referred to Bacchuali eye hospital for treatment. Local people were very happy with this health camp and praised the efforts of Mahanagar Gas Limited. Mr. Sachin Panchmukh (volunteer) proposed the vote of thanks at the end.
